One thing everyone should do, and there is no excuse to not do this, is to print on both sides of the paper.
When you print something, use your printer's two sided function. Most printers have an option that will allow you to print to both sides of your paper. It requires a few more steps in the printing process but it will instantly decrease your paper cost IN HALF! Instantly! Economy, right there. And it cuts your paper use in half which is green indeed.
I use this tip on all of my printing. It's easy, faster than you might think and once you get used to it, it becomes second nature.
