Best banana bread, buttermilk, no less.

I decided to try my hand at banana bread. We had a ton of bananas hanging around so I thought, "hmm, I might give this a try."

I found this recipe at Baker by Nature. Ashley makes it extra easy to maneuver this recipe onto your cooling tray. If I can do it, trust me, you can too.

I had everything except the sour cream and walnuts, Had to send out the daughter to get those. She didn't mind, she got to drive the car.

Following the recipe I have all the ingredients ready...

Now it's just a matter of mixing it all up. See, super easy.

Into the pan it goes! (I use olive oil spray to line the pan)

And voila!!! All ready to bake.

And there you are! Just beautiful!

The original recipe at Baker by Nature does not call for walnuts. I added them any way 'cos I just figured it had to have them.

Go on, give it a shot. I dare you.

Here is the ingredient list but go to Ashely's site to get the instructions:

Buttermilk Banana Bread
4-5 ripe bananas, thinly sliced
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup buttermilk
1/2 melted butter
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 eggs, at room temperature
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 dashes of nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Have fun, and don't forget to comment,
